Frequently Asked Questions
I have been told to attend court as a witness. Do I have to go?
If you have received a witness citation - a document issued by the Procurator Fiscal, then you must comply with its terms. It may be possible to discuss the dates and times etc. but this is a matter for the relevant Procurator Fiscal and if there is anything you wish to discuss you should contact his/her office. The Telephone Numbers of Procurators Fiscal in the Northern Constabulary Force Area are given here. You can also contact the relevant Court or Sheriff Clerks Office for further information about the Scottish Court Service
