Third live Webcast of the Northern Joint Police Board meeting

The police board in session

Members of the public across the Highlands and Islands have the opportunity to watch the Northern Joint Police Board meeting from their homes, when it is webcast live, for the third time on Friday 26th November.

As part of our commitment to making the decision making process as open and transparent as possible, Highland Council is piloting the webcasting of public meetings that are held in the Council Chamber, Inverness.

"People are reminded that they will be able to log onto the Highland Council website and watch the Northern Joint Police Board meeting, which takes place on Friday 26 November."

Chief Constable of Northern Constabulary, Mr Ian Latimer said: "The support and understanding of the public is fundamental to the success of our policing.

"It is important, especially given the geographically large and diverse nature of the communities we serve across the Highlands and Islands, that people have information about our services and performance, as well as a say in our priorities, wherever they live."
