MURDER OF ALISTAIR WILSON - 18 MONTH ANNIVERSARY

AS we approach the 18 month anniversary of the murder of Nairn banker Alistair Wilson Detective Chief Inspector Peter MacPhee today renewed the appeal for information and has issued an updated fact sheet for the media.

He said: "We continue to work through the vast amount of information we have, which has been gathered from a variety of different sources. This is a meticulous task which takes times.

"There are specific lines of inquiry which we are following in relation to various individuals who have yet to be eliminated.

"Staffing of the inquiry team remains considerable and will remain so considering the large amount of work still to be undertaken."

He added: "As you can see from the fact sheet (below) the inquiry team has increased slightly since the one year anniversary which shows the emphasis the Force places on tracking down Alistair's killer.

"My team remain committed and dedicated to solving this crime and with Veronica's help through her television appearance earlier this week we aim to bring the perpetrator, who left this family devastated, to justice."
