Firearms

The Firearms Section is staffed by one sergeant and two constables, who are responsible for delivering all firearms training to the Force, as well as responding to any operational incidents.

Authorised Firearms Officers (AFO's) are based in each Area Command within Northern Constabulary and receive a specific amount of compulsory training, both locally and at the Force Firearms Range at Inverness.
