Command Overview
Badenoch, Strathspey and Nairn is just one of eight separate Command Areas within Northern Constabulary, and serves a population of over 25,000. There are four main population centres, three of which are in Badenoch and Strathspey - Aviemore, Grantown on Spey and Kingussie - and the other being in Nairn.

This area is a major tourist destination, with the Cairngorm mountain range, water sports, fishing, golf courses and National Parks being enjoyed by a significant number of annual visitors.
The main arterial road linking the South and North of Scotland - the A9 - also runs through the area.
