The Orkney Area Command has a well-established style of community policing and enjoys excellent relations with the local populace. Multi-agency links and partnerships are well developed and long established.

The main objectives of the Area Command are as follows;

• To provide safer roads with reduced deaths, injury and crime
• Sustainable crime reduction
• Effective engagement of criminality
• Public reassurance in community safety

Our local priorities are also to actively participate in the Orkney Community Planning Partnership, particularly with the Orkney Community Safety Forum, to deal effectively with anti-social behaviour.
