UPDATE - MURDER ALISTAIR WILSON - NAIRN
DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Nairn banker Alistair Wilson have received information about a man they wish to eliminate from their inquiries.
Witnesses say he was seen getting on the Inverness - Aberdeen Stagecoach bus at around 6.05pm in Inverness on Sunday 28 November 2004, the night Alistair Wilson was shot dead on his doorstep.
He got off the coach at Nairn Bus Station at around 6.47pm and walked down the main road past the Police station towards the Crescent Road area.
He is described as follows: 5ft 9" - 5ft 10", of muscular build, large neck and was wearing a baseball cap with a blue peak and cream back. He is described as clean shaven, with trimmed sideburns and was also wearing a dark blue quilted jacket and jeans. He seemed to have been keeping his hands in his jacket pockets.
DCI Peter MacPhee, the officer leading the investigation, said: "We are appealing for this man to come forward so we can eliminate him from our inquiries.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was on the bus and who has not already spoken to Police to call the Incident Room on 01667 452222 if they have any information."
There are no further details at this stage.
